Birth

“Long before he laid down the earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.”

Ephesians 1:4 (MSG)

Mine was a traumatic, breech birth with deformities in torso, heart, and mind. The doctor’s verdict–death most likely in three days or a vegetable throughout life. However, my parents and fellow believers knew of the power of prayer. Within that time period, God miraculously healed me body and mind.

A fellow pastor friend of my Dad’s had a daughter born around the same time, with the same first name, coincidentally, who experienced a similar birth entrance. She, however, was not healed. Was God playing favorites? No! Her parents thought her beautiful while growing up.

Thank you, God, the Creator of conception and life, who gives the gift and in heaven wholeness and holiness for eternity with You!

  1. Ruth, I’ve known you all these years, but never knew this about you. I was born way too soon. I was so tiny my dad could hold me in the palm of his hand. I had to be in an incubator in a month and fed through a tube placed in my thigh. It became infected and abcessed, but now I have an identifying scar–in case I ever get lost. 🙂

This was very well written and encouraging for anyone with a crisis pregnancy.

Please pray for my sister. Her daughter, Kara–age 38 was diagnosed Fri. with infiltrating ductile carcinoma. Will undergo double masectomy. My sister is putting off her liver issues–supposed to go for heart testing–to take care of her daughter who is a single mom of a 10 year old daughter.

    1. So, Vaughn, we are sisters in Christ in more ways than one. Thank God He loves us in all phases of our lives. My heart goes out to your sister, Michelle, with continued problems and for her daughter, Kara, with problems of her own. We will be praying for all concerned along with her own sweetie. Life really hurts at times, doesn’t it?

Thank you for your encouraging comments on blogging. It is something I need to do as it has been exploding by God within me that needs to give voice to His faithfulness.

Keep in touch as it is a special day anytime I hear from you.

  3. I as well as my friends appeared to be taking note of the nice helpful hints found on your web blog while then came up with an awful suspicion I had not thanked the web blog owner for those techniques. All of the ladies ended up absolutely warmed to study all of them and already have surely been making the most of these things. Thank you for turning out to be so considerate and then for selecting certain great useful guides most people are really eager to be aware of. My personal honest apologies for not expressing appreciation to you earlier.
